GameMaker - Catch The Clown
What difficulties did you have?
During the process I had difficulty with the background music playing. Instead it would play the annoying windows click sound.
How did you solve the solution specifically?
To solve it I asked you Ms. Vesik, to help me. We eventually figured out that when uploading the sound file, it needs to have the same name in the game folder as it does in the game. For example in my folder I had it named "music" however when I typed it in the game file I typed it as "snd_music" so it didn't work, because it couldn't access my file. Therefore I went to find the other file which was named "snd_music" and then it worked. Now I know for next time...
PS... Also the file has to be in the same folder so that it can access it.

Phoebe, your game isn't functioning as expected (no random changes in direction, no background music, no bounce sound effect, score not displayed). I've marked it as is and recorded your grade as 25/40 for now. However, I seem to remember more of these elements working correctly when I saw your game. So could you please double-check and let me know if you post an updated .exe? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHi Phoebe. I just realized that I was looking at the wrong marking scheme when I gave you 25/40 for this project. The problems I described still exist, but your current is actually 15/25, not 25/40. Sorry! :P
